Title : MRI Technologist – Radiology / Cardiology

Location : Columbia SC 29203

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Day Shift, 3x12-Hour (07 : 00 - 19 : 30) – Friday, Saturday, Sunday

Job Responsibilities :

  • Perform MRI scans for adult and pediatric patients, including neonates, stroke, trauma, and specialty cases.
  • Operate GE and Siemens MRI equipment (1.5T and 3T) and perform advanced imaging procedures.
  • Prepare and / or administer contrast media and start peripheral IVs as needed.
  • Ensure accurate image post-processing including MIP, MRP, ADC mapping, and perfusion studies.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including IV, respiratory, radiology, and rapid response services.
  • Maintain proper documentation in EPIC or preferred charting systems.
  • Provide patient care across multiple settings : inpatient, outpatient, ICU, ER / Trauma, NICU / PICU.
  • Follow hospital protocols and safety standards for all MRI procedures.

    • Required Skills & Experience :

  • ARRT-certified Radiologic Technologist (MR and R) and BLS certified.
  • Minimum 1 year of MRI experience; prior pediatric hospital experience preferred.
  • Strong skills in imaging abdomen, pelvis, brain, spine, chest, and musculoskeletal regions.
  • Experience with advanced imaging techniques including CINE, diffusion, spectroscopy, and peripheral MRA.
  • EPIC EMR experience preferred.
  • Comfortable working with patients of all age groups, including pediatrics and neonates.
  • Ability to float to other units as needed per Prisma Health requirements.
