We are seeking a highly qualified Software / Web Developer to join a mission-focused team that maintains applications, Platform as a Service (PaaS), and support services. The effort requires the maintenance and enhancement of an application and underlying services while identifying future capability needs and eliminating overlaps. The team will continuously improve sustainment and development to reinvest resources to provide new capabilities and improve the effectiveness, quality, and robustness of the underlying technology.

Key Responsibilities

• Support software and web architecture development, requirements analysis, process execution and evaluation, selection and evaluation of COTS / GOTS tools, and integration with new systems
• Interact with customers and development team to gather and define requirements
• Maintain and operate a scalable, reliable, and efficient Platform as a Service (PaaS) offering
• Analyzes and studies customer requirements to determine the most effective software and web technologies to satisfy their needs
• Designs, creates, tests, and maintains software and web-based applications and content solutions to satisfy customer requirements
• Follows a formal design process using formal specifications, data flow diagrams, other accepted design techniques and adheres to laws, standards, and established guidelines for development and delivery of software and web applications
• Coordinates creation and collection of necessary technology components and integrates them into a coherent site design
• Designs and develops visually pleasing, content rich, user-friendly interfaces with intuitive navigation
• Develops and maintains software and web development technical documentation to assist with software and web application maintenance and upgrades
• Provides software process management and configuration management throughout the software / web development lifecycle
• Participates in developing and delivering training as requested by the government to support applications
• Participate in DevSecOps processes and practice principles during all design phases
• Perform root cause analysis and make recommendations for technical issues.
• Support and troubleshoot scripts written in Python and bash.
• Implement security measures, including access controls and encryption.
• Provide technical guidance and support to development teams
• Collaborate with development teams to streamline software delivery processes and to ensure improvements align with organizational goals

Required Qualifications

High School Diploma / GED and 12+ years of experience
