About The Role
We're looking for a Motion Graphics & Animation Designer who brings strategic thinking, visual storytelling, and design innovation to every frame. You'll partner with marketing, creative, and production teams to deliver best-in-class animated content that inspires, informs, and drives results.
From animating dynamic brand campaigns to designing short-form content for social, CRM, and digital platforms, you'll breathe life into our messaging through typography, kinetic graphics, and compelling motion. You're fluent in industry-standard tools, have a deep understanding of brand expression through movement, and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
What You Will Do
- Creative Storytelling : Translate ideas into impactful animated visuals that support marketing and brand goals
- Technical Expertise : Advanced skills in After Effects and complementary motion design tools, understanding of AI tools to creative efficiencies in workflow
- Executional Excellence : Deliver polished animations on time, within specs, and across varying formats
- Cross-functional Collaboration : Experience working with designers, editors, marketers, and producers
- Design and animate high-performing motion graphics for a variety of formats : social media, YouTube, paid media, CRM, internal campaigns, and more
- Translate creative briefs into thoughtful motion solutions that enhance storytelling and user engagement
- Collaborate closely with producers, designers, editors, and marketers to bring concepts to life from ideation to final render
- Ensure brand consistency across all animations and apply visual systems creatively
- Work within modern creative and production workflows using tools like After Effects, LucidLink, Frame.io, and Figma
- Manage multiple animation projects simultaneously while maintaining quality, organization, and delivery speed
- Maintain clean project files and adhere to version control, render presets, and naming conventions
Basic Qualifications
4+ years of experience in motion graphics and animation design for marketing, product, or branded contentA strong portfolio showcasing motion design, storytelling, timing, transitions, and typographic animationDeep understanding of content formats, aspect ratios, and motion principles for social, digital, and paid mediaPreferred Qualifications

For San Francisco, CA-based roles : The base salary range for this role is USD$130,000 per year - USD$144,000 per year. You will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of comp. You will also be eligible for various benefits.
