This is a full-time daytime position with 12-hour shifts, scheduled three days per week. Available shift options include :
- 7 : 00 AM – 7 : 00 PM : Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday
- 10 : 00 AM – 10 : 00 PM : Monday, Saturday, Sunday
- Sign-on Bonus
Shift Differentials :
Sunday - Thursday Night differential $4.00 (7 : 30p - 7 : 30a)
Friday / Saturday Night differential $6.00 (7 : 30p - 7 : 30a)
Saturday / Sunday Daytime differential $2.00 (7 : 30a - 7 : 30p)

A Emergency veterinary technician plays a critical role in emergency veterinary care, focusing on the initial assessment and prioritization of patients based on the severity of their condition.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalentMinimum of 2 years of experience as a Veterinary Technician, requiredCertification as a Veterinary Technician (CVT, LVT, or RVT), preferredPrevious experience in specialty and / or emergency veterinary medicine, preferredStrong knowledge of veterinary medical protocols and proceduresExcellent technical skills and attention to detailExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to handle and restrain animals of various sizes and temperamentsCapacity to excel in a fast-paced, high-pressure environmentStrong problem-solving and critical thinking abilitiesFlexibility with working schedule, including availability for on-call, weekend shifts and holidays.Responsibilities
Works closely with other experienced nurses, assistants, doctors, and management to provide excellent care of the patients and our guestsCandidate must be detailed oriented and have Strategic / Forward / Critical ThinkingCandidate must have the veterinary nurse skills as listed below :Have nursing skills that include proper animal restraint, obtain vitals, anesthesia monitoring, intubation, catheter placement, phlebotomy, performing treatments, and administering medicationsAble to monitor and care for patients using state of the art equipment and protocolsHave knowledge of anesthetic protocols, and ability to run anesthesia.Have knowledge of running in house lab machines, sending lab samples out and positioning and taking radiographsHave knowledge of triage and the ability to discuss estimates for diagnostics, procedures, and / or treatments with the clientsAbility to document and maintain medical recordsHave sound knowledge of medical terminology, common disease processes and medical emergenciesCleaning, stocking and helping to maintain proper care of the hospital equipmentAbility to provide thoughtful and compassionate communication with pet owners and referring veterinariansBenefits
