ThreadForm Roll Operator (2nd Shift)

: Level two thread / form roll operators work under minimal supervision to operate and perform basic setups of thread / form roll machines such as feeding systems on Warren Waterbury EWM Roy Hartford platforms. Basic familiarity with thread / form roll tooling. This role requires intermediate competencies in print reading and inspection processes as well as basic trouble shooting. 1-2 years of experience.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities :

• Work safely under functional safety guidelines such as PPE and equipment interaction.
• Identify parts to the shop traveler ensuring that all prior operations have been completed.
• Set up operate or tend machines to roll steel forming bends beads knurls rolls or plate or to flatten temper or reduce gauge of material according to shop traveler specifications and operation procedures.
• Adjust machine controls and change tool settings in order to keep dimensions within specified tolerances.
• Crank machines through cycles stopping to adjust tool positions and machine controls to ensure specified timing clearances and tolerances.
• Inspect sample work pieces to verify conformance with specifications using instruments such as gauges micrometers and dial indicators.
• Follow standard operating procedures to check test login logout and thread roll good quality parts coordinating with departments supervisor or lead during the process.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
