Position : Shop Supervisor

Summary / General Description of Job
The Shop Supervisor provides leadership and direction to multi-disciplinary transportation maintenance teams responsible for vehicles, heavy-duty diesel equipment, forklifts, cranes, and Vehicle Test Equipment (VTE).
This position requires a dynamic, hands-on leader with technical knowledge in mechanical and equipment maintenance, scheduling, and resource management. The Shop Supervisor oversees personnel, manages workflow and logistics, and ensures timely, safe, and efficient execution of maintenance and operational support activities in accordance with contract requirements and company standards.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily operations across multiple maintenance disciplines and support teams.
- Lead teams responsible for vehicles, heavy-duty and diesel equipment, forklifts, cranes, and VTE maintenance.
- Manage work control processes, including scheduling, prioritizing, and executing work orders.
- Oversee crane and rigging operations, ensuring compliance with all applicable safety and operational standards.
- Coordinate with logistics and operations departments to optimize resource allocation and workflow efficiency.
- Maintain detailed maintenance and operational records using Microsoft Office Suite and other management tools.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams, government representatives, and subcontractors to ensure transparency and performance alignment.
- Promote a strong culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement throughout all maintenance and operational activities.

Mandatory
Education : Associate’s Degree in a related field.Experience : Minimum of five (5) years of leadership and management experience in operations, logistics, or trade supervision.Demonstrated experience in at least three of the following areas : vehicle maintenance, forklift operations, crane maintenance, or heavy equipment service.Strong background in logistics management , operations management , and personnel supervision .Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Proven ability to lead diverse teams and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.U.S. Citizenship required.Valid driver’s license.Preferred
Experience working on government or military contracts .Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) .
