Job Description
As a Respiratory Therapist in this role, you will provide high-quality respiratory care to patients in a hospital setting. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to assess, treat, and manage patients with various respiratory conditions, ensuring the best possible outcomes.
Administer respiratory therapy treatments such as oxygen therapy, ventilator management, and aerosolized medicationsPerform diagnostic tests including pulmonary function tests, arterial blood gas analysis, and chest physiotherapyEducate patients and families on respiratory care practices, disease management, and home careWork closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers to develop and implement patient care plansMonitor and assess patient progress, adjusting treatments as necessaryRespond to emergency situations and provide life-saving interventions when requiredMaintain accurate and timely documentation of patient records and treatment plansEnsure all respiratory equipment is properly maintained and calibratedAdhere to all safety and infection control proceduresEducation & Certification Requirements
Associate’s degree or higher in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited institutionCurrent Respiratory Therapy (RRT or CRT) certification through the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications requiredMontana state licensure as a Respiratory Therapist1+ years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist, preferably in a hospital or clinical settingSkills & Qualifications
Expertise in administering respiratory therapy treatments and performing diagnostic proceduresStrong understanding of respiratory diseases, therapies, and patient care techniquesAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and remain calm during emergenciesExcellent communication and patient education skillsAbility to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary healthcare teamCompassionate, patient-focused approach to careCompensation & Benefits
