Job Title : Grounds Worker

Duration : 3 Months (Temp to Hire)

Location : Charlottesville, VA 22903 / Harrisonburg, VA 22801

Shift : 7 : 30am to 4 : 30pm OR 8am 4 : 30pm. Alternative Saturdays may be required and must be open to OT.

Candidate will be a floater between locations , so will need to be flexible with scheduling as needed and have reliable transportation.

Job Description :

The position provides overall grounds and maintenance service conducive to provide burial, landscaping, and burial marker installation services

Job Responsibilities may include :

Assist in performing openings & closings for burials, entombments, and inurnments

Operating a mower, weed eater and blower

Digging graves, placing headstones, hauling dirt, set up and tear down of gravesites.

Sets, installs, and assembles foundations, memorials, and markers

Installs outer burial containers

Handles and completes work orders from client families as it pertains to individual grave and marker maintenance

Responds to and completes requests for service / work orders

Conducts 25-foot radius preparation for burials and ensures the area is clean and neat

Fills grave, tamps, seeds or sods

Adheres to all Company safety rules and Universal Precautions

Maintains a clean and orderly work area

Completes Dignity training as assigned

Adheres to all standards of the Dignity Memorial Promise

Performs all other duties as assigned by management

Requirements :

• Acceptable driving record and applicable license(s) to operate equipment / vehicles
