Under general supervision provides nursing care in a hospital to a variety of patients with health problems ranging from simple to complexEssential Responsibilities : Responsibilities listed in this section are core to the positions. Inability to perform these responsibilities with or without an accommodation may result in disqualification from this and Administration and Consultation : Administers PO SC injections chemotherapy drugs and other medications as ordered by physician : consults with other medical personnel and may provide expert information about chemotherapy side effects etc. : provides a variety of assistance to responsibility for clinic specific patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments notes all changes in physician orders on assigned physician during conscious sedation patients and in performing minor diagnostic procedures and and monitors physiological data of patients observes the physiological manifestations of patients and intervenes when medication as prescribed. Initiates regulates and monitors intravenous infusions and blood products Delivers patient care with family and patient in sharing care plan while in the clinic time of discharge and continued care via phone patient and family of clinic Education : Provides chemotherapy related educational information to patients family etc. : answers inquiries and provides guidance as referral regarding patient care needs to appropriate tasks to support Follow Up : Schedules patient follow-up activities related to their treatment and assists with coordination of care by obtaining referrals and completing phone calls with the patients after their clinic visits.
