Description :

This position is for a Medical Surgical Registered Nurse.

The shift is 3 nights per week from 7 PM to 7 AM, with holidays as needed.

The patient to nurse ratio is 1 : 6.

The unit has a total of 54 beds.

Every other weekend is required.

No on-call is required.

The nurse may need to float within scope to meet facility needs.

First-time travelers are accepted.

The candidate must have a valid state nursing license or a compact license prior to starting.

IV start skills are required for this position.

Telemetry and management of cardiac medications experience are preferred.

The average daily census is 24 patients.

The unit primarily cares for adults and geriatric patients.

The job involves general medical and surgical care, including patients recovering from COVID-19.

All time off requests must be included at the time of submission.

Candidates with a pending nursing license will be considered if proof of application is provided.

Travelers should be aware that they may be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season, which runs from June through November each year, with peak activity in August and September.
