Position Overview : We are seeking a skilled Fiber Outside Plant (OSP) Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of fiber optic cable and related equipment in outdoor environments. This role requires a strong understanding of fiber optics, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently in various weather conditions.

Key Responsibilities :

• Installation :

Install and splice fiber optic cables in underground and aerial environments.

Respond to and troubleshoot fiber outages quickly and efficiently to minimize downtime.

Oversee Enterprise and Multi-Dwelling Unit (MDU) projects, ensuring timely and quality completion.

Provide training and mentorship to new technicians and contractors on best practices in fiber optic installation and maintenance.

Perform testing on installed fiber optic systems using appropriate equipment (e.g., OTDR, power meters).

Follow all safety regulations and guidelines while performing tasks.

Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other team members to coordinate installations and repairs.

Qualifications :

Physical Demands :

The Telecommunication Tower Technician role requires that the individual be able to climb and work at heights, lift up to 50 pounds, and work in outdoor environments in all types of weather conditions.
