Maintenance Tech (MT) 1st Shift

Position Summary

Qualified individual will be capable of evaluating and repairing all mechanical and hydraulic machines and equipment.

Tasks

This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.

• Must be able to do preventative maintenance work, trouble shoot and repair problems on industrial machinery (roll-overs, lift tables, tilt stations, & paint systems)
• Assemble and install equipment, using hand tools and power tools.
• Must be personally responsible and committed to the quality of one's own work.
• Must be able to work above production standards.
• Must be capable of operating hand held cutting tools (Torches, Plasma Cutters).
• Must complete confined space training.
• Insure accuracy in maintaining production records (Example : travelers, timecards). Must be able to check parts to Quality Control Documents.
• Must participate in all required training programs to maintain skill levels for continuous improvement. Must successfully complete training program.
• Must be able to operate lift truck within the guidelines of the McLaughlin Body Powered Industrial Vehicle Program.
• Must have valid driver's license.
• Must supply own hand tools.
• Must be able to maintain good housekeeping practices in the work area and comply with all safety rules and procedures.
• Must wear and maintain the required protective clothing and equipment including : safety glasses, steel toe safety shoes, and hearing protection. Additional protection may be needed like gloves or Kevlar sleeves.
