This position is remote to enhance our competitive edge and expand our cross-functional collaboration efforts. This role will require 75% of travel to enhance collaboration and ensure successful completion of projects.
The Clinical Specialist Manager - Field Specialty supports the Therapy Development team GTL's in driving procedural success in TMVR and TTVR cases. The Manager directs the daily operations of the team and coordinates with a cross functional team including Research and Development, Clinical, PACE, Quality, and others to ensure therapy adoption by customers, safe patient outcomes, meaningful device iteration feedback, best in class customer education, and, ultimately, successful commercialization of the TMVR and TTVR devices.
Position Responsibilities
The following responsibilities are to be performed as appropriate to ensure safe adoption and optimal patient outcomes.
Technical Expectations
Provide strategy input to technical core teams on use conditions and user needs. Supports the M&T business in evaluating concepts for new products and considering potential modifications for existing devices while serving as a technical resource between engineering and the customer. Represents Therapy Development in the cross functional design and implementation of quality initiatives to promote positive procedure outcomes, including reviewing all product complaints requiring review of screening and procedural imaging and review of written reports.
Basic / Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of relevant experience OR Advanced Degree and 3+ years of relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications
5+ years case support experience 10+ years medical device industry, clinical or sales experience in an industry setting; supporting interventional cardiology, vascular or surgical products 5+ years' experience in Clinical Research, hospital, engineering or medical devices (3+ years' experience with Master's degree or 1+ years' with PhD) 2+ years people leadership experience 2+ years' experience in the management of clinical devices 5+ years' experience in a cath lab, operating room, biomedical engineering, hospital / clinic or medical sales 3+ years' supporting mitral and tricuspid cases Mitral or tricuspid echocardiographic and / or catheter subject matter expertise Excellent influencing and consulting skill Ability to deal with difficult situations and resolve conflict Ability to manage in remote self-structured environment Experience with teaching / training medical personnel Ability to make timely and sound decisions under pressure Thorough working knowledge of medical terminology, medical procedures and the medical device industry Experience developing and managing an operational budget Expertise with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills Excellent customer service skills Effectively build and maintain positive relationships with direct reports, peers and colleagues across organizational levels and functions Ability to coordinate / participate in numerous tasks / projects in a fast-paced environment in an organized manner while meeting deadlines Strong work ethic in accomplishing objectives of the position Ability to travel with overnight stay up to 75% of the time (geography variability) Ability to accommodate an unpredictable schedule
