Manager Of Inventory Accounting

Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To :
- Maintain Inventory Sub-Ledger Accuracy
- Review and correct the systematic posting of inventory transactions.
- Reconcile inventory monthly to third party (3PL, Amazon etc) balances.
- Inventory Accounting and Reporting
- Oversee the preparation, review, and analysis of inventory-related accounts, including inventory valuation and cost of goods sold (COGS).
- Ensure accurate and timely month-end close processes for inventory, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Develop and implement inventory accounting policies and procedures to maintain data integrity.
- Inventory Management and Control
- Lead efforts to establish and monitor internal controls related to inventory, including physical inventory counts, cycle counts, and year-end audits.
- Collaborate with operations, purchasing, fulfillment, and logistics teams to ensure accurate recording and flow of inventory from procurement to sale.
- Analyze inventory variances and implement corrective actions to minimize discrepancies.
- ERP System Optimization
- Obtain a detailed understanding of the current state ERP transactions related to inventory.
- Advise the company on enhancements to improve accuracy and automation.
- Serve as a key participant in the FTZ implementation
- Training and Development
- Training and mentoring staff in accounting practices and procedures
Qualifications, Skills, Experience :
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.7+ years of related experience, including experience in inventory management and / or inventory / cost accounting.3+ years of experience leading and managing teams.Experience in direct-to-consumer, manufacturing, or retail industries is highly desirable.Strong analytical, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Proficiency in ERP systems (Full Circle preferred) and advanced Excel skills.System implementation and / or transition experience preferred.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Location & Office Structure
This is an in-office hybrid position, mandatory 4 days per week in office in Irvine, CA with the option to work from home 1 day per week. Subject to change without notice as per company guidelines.
Compensation
The salary range for this position is $80,000 to $100,000 plus opportunity for annual bonus; salary is based on the experience that you bring to the position.
