This opportunity is being offered through Medix in partnership with one of our valued healthcare clients.

Medix is partnering with a well-established behavioral health organization dedicated to delivering high-quality, accessible mental health services across its community network. We are seeking a board-certified physician (MD or DO) to serve as the Medical Director, providing clinical and strategic leadership within psychiatry and behavioral health programs. The ideal candidate is passionate about improving access to quality mental health care and leading clinical teams toward operational excellence.

As the Medical Director, you will help shape the organizations medical direction by overseeing psychiatric and advanced practice staff, ensuring regulatory compliance, and advancing evidence-based practices within 24 / 7 crisis, residential recovery, and integrated care programs. The right candidate will bring a blend of clinical expertise, strategic vision, and a deep commitment to community mental health.

Overview

This role focuses on promoting clinical and operational excellence across multiple mental health programs. The Medical Director will work closely with senior leadership to ensure the highest standards of patient care, regulatory compliance, and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.

Location Preferences

The ideal candidate will be based in the Denver metropolitan area and available to work in person Monday through Friday.

A hybrid or fully remote arrangement may be considered for the right candidate, though limited travel may be required.
