PICU RN Job Details Location : Des Moines, IA (50309) – Iowa healthcare jobs Facility : Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), 12-bed, all private-room facility Assignment Duration : 13 weeks (Start : 11 / 10 / 2025 – End : 2 / 9 / 2026) Shift : Days – 3x12 hour shifts per week (36 hours / week) Estimated Weekly Salary : $2100-$2250 Weekend / Holiday : Every 3rd weekend / holiday rotation if scheduled On-Call : None Employment Type : Travel Registered Nurse (W2) PICU RN Qualifications Current and active Iowa Registered Nurse (RN) license Minimum 2 years of recent PICU nursing experience Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS, AHA) certification Basic Life Support (BLS, AHA) certification Proficiency with EPIC EMR Willingness to float to NICU (stable infants) and ED patient holds as needed Recent skills checklist (completed within 1 year) Professional references, including one supervisory reference from the past 2 years PICU RN Responsibilities Deliver high-quality, compassionate nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients in the PICU Collaborate with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans Utilize advanced monitoring and life-support equipment in a modern pediatric intensive care setting Float to NICU and ED patient holds as needed, providing clinical support to stable infants and children Maintain accurate and timely documentation using EPIC EMR Participate in every 3rd weekend / holiday rotation as scheduled Support a patient- and family-centered care environment, including effective communication and education Take the next step in your travel nursing career with this exceptional PICU Registered Nurse job in Des Moines, Iowa.
