Job Title : HPTLC Lab Technician Job Description
The HPTLC Lab Technician plays a crucial role in supporting the Identity Department team by executing critical laboratory operations and testing. This role involves identifying, analyzing, and suggesting corrective actions to optimize laboratory operations, technology, and equipment. The technician handles sample inventory, assists with sample preparation, and performs routine testing to ensure compliance with good housekeeping practices, GMPs, and regulatory procedures.
Responsibilities
- Maintain good housekeeping practices in the HPTLC lab, including organizing reference standards and samples and cleaning glassware.
- Prepare samples for identity testing to support the HPTLC Chemist's preparation stage.
- Prepare solutions and mobile phases for identity testing.
- Execute assigned projects and activities in compliance with SOPs, GLP, cGMP, and FDA & DEA regulations.
- Maintain appropriate documentation of records and laboratory notebooks as required by SOPs and Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
- Manage departmental purchasing of consumables and chemicals.
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned, including general laboratory housekeeping and documentation.
Essential Skills
. in Chemistry (Biochemistry acceptable but not preferred).Minimum of 1 year of experience in a chemistry laboratory.Demonstrated skills in bench chemistry, including operation of balances, pipettes, pH meters, and volumetric transfers.Experience with FDA Code of Federal Regulations 21 and cGMP guidelines.Ability to independently execute quantitative calculations and analyze data.Competency in preparing volumetric solutions and test solutions consistently.Acute attention to detail and adherence to Standard Operating Procedures.Advanced proficiency in English reading, writing, and speaking.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in the dietary supplement, nutraceutical, or botanical industry.Proficiency in Microsoft Office : Word, Excel, and Outlook.Familiarity with Microsoft Access is preferred.Work Environment
The work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 8 am to 5 pm, with occasional overtime of up to one hour per day. The role involves working within a laboratory environment that adheres to strict FDA regulations for the Nutraceutical industry. The company performs third-party analytical testing to verify the contents of products for compliance and quality assurance.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00 / hr.
