We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to oversee electrical projects across commercial, industrial, and federal sectors in Norfolk, Virginia. This role requires strong leadership and organizational skills to ensure projects are completed safely, within budget, and on schedule while meeting quality standards. The ideal candidate will collaborate with various teams to ensure seamless project execution and foster positive client relationships.
Responsibilities :
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring each progresses smoothly from initial planning to final closeout.
- Analyze project specifications, contracts, drawings, and scopes of work to create accurate plans and strategies.
- Develop and monitor project schedules and budgets, adjusting plans to meet deadlines and financial goals.
- Coordinate with procurement and engineering teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and prefabricated components.
- Supervise subcontractors and vendors, ensuring adherence to quality standards and project scopes.
- Organize and lead regular project meetings, providing updates and reports via project management software.
- Track and evaluate project costs against budgets, preparing monthly forecasts and billing documentation.
- Support field teams by addressing and resolving technical or logistical challenges.
- Enforce compliance with safety protocols, quality standards, and contractual obligations.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, representing the company with professionalism and integrity.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in managing electrical construction projects, with a focus on commercial and industrial sectors.
- Proven ability to oversee projects up to $5 million in value with successful outcomes.
- Solid knowledge of electrical systems, construction practices, and project scheduling.
- Proficiency in project management software such as Spectrum or ProjectSight, along with Microsoft Office.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively and communicate clearly across all levels.
- PMP certification or formal project management training preferred.
- OSHA 30 certification and a valid driver's license required.
- Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies is a plus.
