The Accounting Manager will be responsible for monitoring general accounting practices to preserve company assets and report accurate financial results, budgeting, developing internal accounting controls and financial strategy, tracking financial metrics tied to that strategy and ongoing development and monitoring control systems. This position will report directly to the CEO and be accountable for administrative and financial operations of the company.
Work Performed :
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations and ensure that there is a redundant process backup in place for every critical operation
- Create new internal accounting corporate policies and maintain existing policies
- Monitor emerging technology to determine ways to automate the accounting process without sacrificing accuracy and accountability
- Develop monthly and quarterly accounting reports for the leadership team
- Implement and monitor the month, quarter and year-end closing accounting schedules in a timely manner.
- Appraises the organization’s financial position and issue periodic reports on organization’s financial stability, liquidity, and growth
- Develop financial and tax strategies
- Manage the budgeting processes
- Develop performance measures that support the company’s strategic direction
- Participate in key decisions as a member of the leadership team
- Maintain in-depth relations with all members of the leadership team
- Manage the accounting,, legal, and tax functions of the organization.
- Oversee the financial operations of subsidiary companies
- Manage any third parties to which functions have been outsourced
- Oversee the company’s transaction processing systems
- Implement operational best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Drive the accounts receivable and accounts payable aspects of the business
Experience Required :
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance or equivalent : or four to ten years’ experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Should have experience in partnering with leadership team, managing people and have a high level of written and oral communication skills.
