Job Summary :
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing x-ray examinations to assist physicians in diagnosing various medical conditions. This role requires effective communication with patients and a commitment to ensuring their safety and comfort during procedures.
Key Responsibilities :
- Prepare examination rooms for patient examinations.
- Administer radiopharmaceuticals to obtain clear, usable images.
- Position patients and equipment, explain procedures, and ensure patients' comfort.
- Insert commands and data into the computer to document and specify scan sequences.
- Monitor video displays to adjust density or contrast as needed.
Skills and Qualifications :
Certification as a Radiologic Technologist.Strong understanding of radiographic techniques and safety protocols.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.We encourage qualified candidates from all backgrounds to apply. Requirements :
An associate's or bachelor's degree in radiology from an accredited 2 year or 4 year college.ARRT certifictionA Mississippi license to practice radiography.Must be willing to day or night shift open for coverageStrong communication and interpersonal skills, empathy, and compassion.Good mathematical abilities and technical skills.Good organizational, time management, analytical abilities, and attention to detail.The ability to lift heavy weights without assistance.PRN Radiologic Technologist employees are expected to have experience or willing to learn CT with these responsibilities :
Interpreting the orders provided by the physician or other prescribing medical professional.Explaining what will happen during the CT scan to patients.Positioning patients properly to take the necessary images.Administering IVs that contain contrast dyes to enhance imaging.Examining images to ensure they’re usable.Updating patient medical informationCleaning and maintaining CT scan equipment.Keeping inventory of CT scan supplies and making orders for supply restocks as required.
