Pay Rate : $18 – $27.97 / hr

Shift Information : Day Shift | Monday – Friday, 9 : 00 AM – 5 : 30 PM CST

Job Summary :

The Phlebotomist Patient Services Representative III – Floater (PSR III) represents the face of the organization to patients seeking diagnostic or routine laboratory services. This role involves performing skilled phlebotomy, ensuring specimen accuracy, and maintaining professional patient interactions. The ideal candidate will travel across assigned sites, adapt to various work settings, and demonstrate a commitment to quality, safety, and patient care excellence .

Key Responsibilities :

Perform high-quality phlebotomy and specimen collection following established practices and safety standards.

Build trust with patients through professional, compassionate communication.

Travel and float between designated Patient Service Center and in-office locations as business needs dictate.

Verify patient information and specimen labeling for accuracy.

Maintain required documentation, logs, and safety compliance standards.

Identify and report system or process issues promptly to management.

Ensure timely and accurate completion of daily assigned tasks.

Promote organizational excellence and a positive image to patients, clients, and team members.

Required Experience :

3 years of phlebotomy experience including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.

At least 2 years of experience in a patient service center preferred.

Previous customer service experience in healthcare, retail, or service environments.

Experience with Epic EMR systems strongly preferred.

Nice-to-Have Experience :

Multi-site or floating experience across multiple patient centers.

Exposure to both clinical and forensic specimen processing.

Experience working with the client or similar laboratory networks.

Required Skills :

Excellent phlebotomy and specimen handling skills.

Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask efficiently.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.

Preferred Skills :

Familiarity with HIPAA, OSHA , and infection control procedures.

Ability to adapt quickly in high-volume or changing environments.

Flexible scheduling, including potential weekends and holidays.

Strong organizational and decision-making abilities.

Additional Skills :

Operates independently with minimal supervision.

Demonstrates accountability, professionalism, and reliability.

Supports cross-site operations as a dependable team member.

Education :

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Medical Assistant or Paramedic training preferred.

Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in CA, NV, WA).
