Overview

Our team focuses on the development of new algorithms for a wide variety of exciting applications including supply chain networks, social graphs, optimization of generative AI models, material failures, and biological systems. The aim of the team is to conduct and publish research at top venues and assist SRI commercialize relevant technologies by filing patents and spinning out start-ups.

The Intern will work onsite in our Menlo Park, CA office. We are open to a part-time intern during the Fall / Spring semesters or a full time intern during Summer 2026.

Responsibilities

Training generative AI models

• Experience with Reinforcement Learning approaches and theory
• Designing and implementing distributed algorithms for large graphs
• Assist in developing research ideas

Qualifications

The salary range is : $20-$35 / hr. Salary ranges will vary and are based on several factors, including geographic location, market competitiveness and equity amongst internal employees in similar roles. Positions may also qualify for SRI's Pay for Outstanding Performance program or the annual Performance Based Compensation program.
