The Career Development Coordinator will support the delivery of high-quality clinical education and workforce development within Ivy Rehab network. This Clinical Excellence role is designed to strengthen the pipeline of future health professionals by overseeing student clinical experiences and coordinating the mentoring program. This role provides an opportunity for a motivated and emerging professional to contribute to the growth, learning, and excellence of our clinical teammates.
The ideal candidate will be a physical therapist, physical therapist assistant, occupational therapist, occupational therapist assistant, or speech-language pathologist living in the central or eastern time zone with experience in student programs, mentorship, and education in large organizations.
Your responsibilities will include :
Coordinate and administer student clinical programs in collaboration with operational leadership and key stakeholders.
Support CI and placement supervisors to deliver safe, structured, and effective learning environments.
Act as a point of contact for students to assess issues, conduct experiential surveys and evaluate the strength of the program.
Assist in the development of resources, schedules, and feedback tools to enhance the student experience.
Monitor appropriate utilization of payroll hours to the CI and Student programs and engage leadership on outliers.
Oversee the implementation and ongoing delivery of the mentoring program.
Match mentees with experienced mentors, ensuring appropriate alignment of professional goals and practice areas.
Facilitate induction sessions, ongoing support, and feedback collection from participants.
Monitor program effectiveness and contribute to continuous improvement strategies.
Support the creation and delivery of new teammate role-based training.
Collect, track, and analyze feedback from students, graduates, and mentors to identify areas for improvement.
Contribute to the development of guidelines, policies, and training resources that align with best practice in clinical education.
Collaborate with the Clinical Excellence team to maintain accreditation and compliance standards.
Build effective relationships with internal stakeholders.
Represent Ivy Rehab at education forums, placement partnership meetings, and professional development activities as appropriate.
Promote the organization's commitment to clinical excellence and workforce sustainability.
To excel in this role, you should possess :
Degree in a health-related field, PT, OT, SLP preferred.
Career clinical program support with up to 3 years post-graduation experience.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage students, graduates, and senior clinicians.
Demonstrated organizational and time management skills.
Interest in clinical education, mentoring, and workforce development.
Previous experience as a student supervisor, peer mentor, or involvement in clinical education programs.
Knowledge of student placement processes and university partnerships.
Familiarity with professional standards and accreditation requirements.
Compensation for this role ranges up to $95,000.00 based on experience.
