The role you'll contribute :
The Workforce Development Specialist supports the program leadership on the daily operations of leading strategy for filling workforce gaps in the acute care setting. The Workforce Development Specialist supports change activities and works to assure implementation of career pipeline programs as determined by the current labor demand. This position will serve as a mentor and advocate for facilitating the professional growth of internal / external perspective team members. The Workforce Development Specialist is skilled in coaching and has an ability to make intentional and impactful connections with the community and with perspective team members in a way that supports their development while building viable future candidate pools. The Workforce Development Specialist will partner with all levels of leadership to understand department & role specific needs across the organization and identify optimum team members candidates for positions within the AdventHealth workforce pipeline. The Workforce Development Specialist collaborates with business unit and department leadership to maintain a high level of positive professional and cultural interactions. Promotes healthy work environment standards that support teamwork, collaboration, and positive work relationships. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

Utilizes knowledge of leadership principles and management skills. Communicates effectively. Maintains knowledge of national, local and facility trends in healthcare practice and reports findings to applicable leadership.
Identifies growth opportunities. Leverage student interest forms, practicum students, group clinical rotations, healthcare academy participation and other ways to engage perspective future hires into the AdventHealth career pipeline programs.
Collaborate with local academic campus education departments, student coordinators & guidance counselors to identify recruitment opportunities.
Functions as an academic liaison to health care programs in community. Partner with applicable leaders to represent AdventHealth at events, including but not limited to hiring events, graduation, and award presentations.
Responsible for posting requisitions for positions that support AdventHealth workforce career pipeline. Guide intentional hiring into hard-to-fill positions that align with applicant goals. Partner with department specific leaders to coordinate job shadow and interviews. Collectively determine qualifying and disqualifying factors.
Assess workforce needs, collaborate with human resources and department / units to maintain an optimal career pipeline.
Qualifications :
Bachelors degree in nursing, business, or related field.
3-5 years healthcare experience.
RNs should maintain current registration with the Florida State Board of Nursing as a Registered Professional Nurse.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
