Pay Range :   $23 per hour. This is a contract role with no benefits.

Location :   Chicago, IL at 33 N Dearborn or 1 E Wacker

Work Hours :   You will work on an as-needed basis on Saturdays and Sundays. Event times can be as early as 6am and go as late as midnight. Typical shifts will be between 4-6 hours, and will be scheduled at a minimum of two weeks ahead of time.

Additional weekday shifts may be available, depending on your availability.

Your Mission :

Your mission is to deliver exceptional hospitality to our event guests at two of our prominent downtown locations, 1 E Wacker and 33 N Dearborn. As the face of our brand during every shift, you’ll take full ownership of the member experience—greeting each person with warmth, attention to detail, and a commitment to five-star service. From the first impression to the smallest touch, you’ll ensure every interaction feels thoughtful and elevated.

As a result of your time in this role, you brought daily joy to hundreds of human beings who work in downtown Chicago. You created such deep and meaningful relationships with building management teams, their tenants, and external partners that they never wanted Playbook to leave. Lastly, you supported the Playbook team in becoming a lasting fixture in downtown Chicago.

What You’re Responsible For :

• Event Execution : Manage day-of event execution for weekend scheduled meetings and events. This may include room setup, directing catering, contacting building maintenance or janitorial staff for urgent issues, and providing real-time support to event attendees with matters such as AV equipment, wayfinding, and questions about booking the space.
• Front Desk Support : Support the operations at various locations by providing member support at the front desk. This will include assisting with membership management, answering member questions, and giving tours of the space.
• Five-Star Hospitality Service : Ensure members receive an exceptional experience by providing a warm welcome and departure experience. You’ll also oversee the upkeep of special touches, such as our spa-style signature fruit-infused water.
• Maintain a Pristine Facility : Keep the spaces you are working in tidy, organized, and fully operational to ensure a seamless member experience, performing checks regularly during each of your shifts. Regularly restock amenities such as towels, locker room supplies, pantry items, and / or conference room supplies. Leave every space you enter in better condition than you found it.
