Elevate Communication and Connection in the Enchanting Landscape of Idaho - Become Our Speech Language Pathologist

Overview

What if your next career adventure could transform lives through the power of communication? As a Speech Language Pathologist in one of Idaho's most picturesque towns, your expertise will do much more than treat communication and swallowing challenges. You'll have the unique opportunity to unlock potential, foster relationships, and nurture potential in a dynamic setting where your skills can shine across varied age groups - from toddlers finding their voices to seniors working to regain independence.

This position offers a rewarding blend of outpatient therapy and occasional inpatient involvement, ensuring a diversified caseload that keeps you engaged and fulfilled. Whether your passion lies in pediatric speech and language development, navigating the complexities of adult neurogenic disorders, or supporting geriatric clients in cognitive-linguistic rehabilitation, you'll find ample opportunity for growth and impact.

Description

  • Conduct thorough evaluations of individuals across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics utilizing standardized assessments and observational methods.
  • Create individualized treatment plans targeting both immediate objectives and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing issues.
  • Deliver dedicated one-on-one speech therapy sessions aimed at enhancing communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing capabilities.
  • Engage collaboratively with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to craft cohesive care plans.
  • Provide education to patients and families to ensure progress continues beyond therapy sessions.
  • Assist with inpatient speech therapy assessments and interventions to maintain continuity of care throughout the patient's recovery process.
  • Ensure meticulous documentation that aligns with state and federal regulations and organizational standards.
  • Stay abreast of the latest methodologies through continuing education opportunities and collaborative learning with peers.

Education

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a program accredited by the relevant authorities.
  • Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if you have yet to obtain ASHA certification.
  • Certifications

  • State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of starting your position.
  • Skills

  • Proficiency in evidence-based treatment practices for all age groups, with a solid foundation in both developmental and acquired disorders related to speech, language, and swallowing.
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication skills with patients, families, and multidisciplinary care teams.
  • Ability to adapt therapy methodologies to meet the diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds of clients.
  • Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Comfortable navigating electronic health records and meeting documentation requirements.
  • Benefits

  • Competitive salary reflecting your experience and expertise.
  • Flexible work schedules to promote work-life harmony and varied patient loads.
  • Opportunities to focus on pediatric care, adult neuro rehab, or geriatric services.
  • Generous Paid Time Off (PTO) and holiday remuneration.
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans.
  • Continuing education reimbursement and support for your professional development.
  • A collaborative team environment with a shared commitment to high-quality care and lifelong learning.
  • A Career That Transforms Lives - Yours and Theirs

In this role, your impact will extend far beyond therapy sessions; you'll become part of a mission that emphasizes restoring voices, enhancing communication, and celebrating the understanding that binds us as human beings.

Join a community where clinicians support one another like family, in an environment that prioritizes teamwork over competition. Every individual has a narrative; you'll have the honor of helping craft how it is shared.
