This is a 13-week contract position.

\n\nSchedule\n

Night shift, 4x12-hour schedule (18 : 45 - 07 : 15). Every other weekend coverage required.

\n\nJob Description\n

The Registered Nurse will provide direct patient care in a Medical / Surgical and Telemetry environment, with a focus on orthopedic patients. Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced setting with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1 : 6-7.

\n\nResponsibilities\n \n

  • Administer medications and manage IV therapy.

    • \n

  • Monitor vital signs and interpret dysrhythmias.

    • \n

  • Provide non-invasive airway management and carry out O2 protocol management.

    • \n

  • Care for patients post-operatively with orthopedic trauma and total joint replacements.

    • \n

  • Respond effectively to rapid response calls and assist with emergency situations.

    • \n

  • Maintain isolation precautions and ensure proper wound care.

    • \n \n\nRequired Experience / Certifications / Licensure\n \n

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience, with at least 1 year in MS / Ortho in the last 5 years preferred.

    • \n

  • Current BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.

    • \n

  • Experience with electronic charting (EPIC) is required.
