Position Summary :
In this newly created position reporting to our Chief Business Officer, the Head of Marketing will lead marketing efforts across multiple programs from development phases through commercialization phases. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to significantly contribute to leading the brand planning efforts for Elamipretide, as well as for additional future products. The individual will understand the marketplace and competitive environment, generating deep customer and field insights, and translating these insights into winning brand strategies.
Responsibilities :
- Lead pre-launch and launch marketing activities, including development of positioning and supporting messaging.
- Foster collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders (e.g. Clinical, Medical Affairs, Compliance, KOLs, patient advocacy groups etc.).
- Lead development of the overarching brand strategy and execution for elamipretide, aligning the efforts of the cross functional stakeholders.
- Advise leadership on the strategic investment options to optimize the potential value of elamipretide, both within a fiscal year and across the brand life cycle.
- Create a powerful and enduring brand through the translation of brand strategy and positioning to compelling creative and brand imagery across physicians, payers and patients for impactful use by future field representatives.
- Lead and implement strategy and tactics to influence physician and patient audiences through all relevant promotional channels.
- Partner closely with key stakeholders to ensure that training content and learning curriculum delivered is aligned to brand strategy.
- Hire, train, and develop future marketing team members.
- Partner with commercial colleagues in the development of market research and analytical projects. Implement initiatives that maintain a detailed understanding of key stakeholder needs with a long- range approach to brand positioning.
- Partner with future Market Access colleagues to develop and leverage appropriate HEOR studies, pricing, value story, messages and materials to support payer and physician- based access and reimbursement.
- Define and drive product lifecycle development initiatives, working closely on implementation with cross-functional teams.
- Closely monitor competitive activities and develop and implement strategies to proactively meet competitive threats.
- Create, monitor, and report on all relevant metrics of marketing initiatives.
- Oversee management of agency partners and other vendors to ensure appropriate use of funds.
- Create a high-performance environment and a strong team orientation. Lead, coach, and motivate team members to optimal performance.

Bachelor’s degree required, MBA or other advanced degree preferred.Minimum of 10 years of related physician, payer and patient marketing experience in the pharmaceutical / biotech industry.Proven experience in a marketing leadership role with a track record of driving financial results in highly competitive markets.Strong strategic planning experiences which include evaluation and sizing markets, segmentation markets, development of clinical and economic value propositions and designing of a winning customer model to achieve marketing objectives.We may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of the hiring process, such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, or assessing responses.
