The prestigious VA Orlando Healthcare System veteran population is increasing, and we are seeking board-certified / board-eligible Gastroenterologist for its 5-star healthcare system and its expanding numbers of community-based Outpatient clinics (CBOC) and locations throughout central Florida.

The Gastroenterology Department at the Orlando VA Sunshine Healthcare System is a well-established trained staff seeking a physician with advanced skills in general gastroenterology.

Responsibilities

  • Provide a variety of gastroenterology consultative services in outpatient, inpatient, and telehealth settings, including the diagnosis / treatment / management of gastroenterology / hepatology disorders and conditions as needed, to include on-call coverage.
  • Access to all advanced technology with state-of-the-art capabilities.
  • Teaching opportunities with the fellowship program starting Summer 2024.

Qualifications

  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Gastroenterology.
  • Unrestricted licensure in any US state; US citizenship required.

    Compensation and Benefits

  • Pay : Competitive salary, annual performance bonus, regular salary increases.
  • Paid Time Off : 50-55 days per year (26 days annual leave, 13 days sick leave, 11 federal holidays, and possible 5 days CME leave).
  • Retirement : Traditional federal pension (5 years vesting) and federal 401K with up to 5% agency contributions.
