Administrative Assistant IV

To support our mission, we are seeking to fill an Administrative Assistant IV position to join the Blind Services Field Support Office. This position is located at 1117 Trinity Street, Austin, TX.
TWC is not considering applications from individuals who require sponsorship for an employment visa, including those currently on student or postgraduate visas. You must be a Texas resident to work for the Texas Workforce Commission or willing to relocate to Texas.
The Administrative Assistant IV performs advanced (senior-level) administrative support or technical program assistance work. Work involves disseminating information, performing internal administrative support work while promoting the Texas Confidence Builder's philosophy and leadership in blind training services offered to customers and staff. May train others. Works under limited supervision, with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
You will be trusted to :
- Performs advanced (senior-level) administrative support or technical program assistance work.
- Coordinates the disseminating of information, developing filing systems, and coordinating internal administrative support work.
- Compiles and analyzes complex data and producing statistical reports. Reviews manuals and procedures.
- Creates and maintains simple to moderately complex spreadsheets. Keeps track of special projects.
- Coordinates the purchasing and distribution of office supplies by entering purchase requisitions, place orders, verifies receipt of customer and agency purchases, tracks and monitors complex reports on purchases and travel.
- Develops, coordinates, and maintains filing systems and retrieves information; assists with budget projects, hardware and software troubleshooting.
- May supervise the work of others and provide guidance to others. Provides training support to other staff.
- Works under limited supervision, with considerable moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
- Performs related work as assigned and required to meet the mission and goals of the department, division, and the Texas Workforce Commission agency.

Three years of full-time experience that provided knowledge of administrative support functions and office practices and procedures, or clerical administration and business management practices, such as preparation, maintenance, and control of forms, records and reports. Relevant academic credits may be applied toward experience qualifications for this position.You gain :
