We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Supply Chain Intern to join our team for the summer. The intern will support the Maritime Supply Chain department in various activities, rotating through the major functional areas over the course of two consecutive summers. Those functional areas include purchasing, supplier management, subcontracts, and supply chain program management. This role is ideal for a student pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field who is eager to gain real-world experience in Supply Chain.

Key Responsibilities :

• Assist in the procurement / subcontract process, including sourcing and evaluating suppliers, obtaining quotes, and preparing purchase orders.
• Support the management of supplier relationships, including communication, performance evaluation, and issue resolution.
• Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and assess market trends.
• Help maintain accurate procurement / subcontract records and documentation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and services, and to drive supply chain best practices and efficiencies.
• Assist in the preparation of reports and presentations related to procurement activities.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance procurement / subcontract efficiency and effectiveness.
• Standardizing and modernizing RFP templates and subcontract document packages for consistency and compliance.
• Participate in internal meetings, supplier discussions, and government compliance reviews as appropriate.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supply chain teams.
