What You Will Do
This position will be filled at either the Administrative Assistant 2 or 3 level, depending on the education and skills of the selected candidate. Additional job responsibilities will be assigned if successful candidate is hired at the higher level.
The Plutonium Supply and Disposition Division (PSD) is looking for a motivated, customer-focused, professional, efficient, reliable, organized, and experienced Professional Staff Assistant to support the Material Recycle and Recovery Group (PSD-4). You will interact daily with the Group Leader, First Line Managers, and the administrative team in the organization. You will be responsible for providing advanced-level support to the management team in various areas, including administration, finance, HR, communications, and project management. You are expected to conduct daily business with minimal supervision, demonstrating accuracy, attention to detail, initiative, versatility, tact, and confidentiality.
You must be a motivated performer capable of quickly changing focus, working independently or as part of a team as needed, and comfortable with a broadly defined scope of work. You should be able to manage your workload and productivity to meet deliverables with quick turnaround deadlines. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to interact effectively with all levels of internal and external personnel, including networking with key contacts outside of area of professional expertise. Excellent leadership skills. Demonstrated ability to delegate and train others.
The work is conducted in a busy, fast-paced team environment that requires close cooperation, adaptability, taking initiative in completing tasks, and a willingness to provide support where needed.

Professional Staff Assistant 3 $85,900-$139,900

Minimum Job Requirements :
Education / Experience :
Level 2 Position requires a bachelor's degree and 5 years related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience directly related to the occupation.
Level 3 Position requires a bachelor's degree and 8 years of related experience; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience directly related to the occupation. At this level, post graduate course work may be expected.
Position commitment : The position commitment for either level of this position is 1 year. Regular appointment employees are required to serve a period of continuous service in their current position in order to be eligible to apply for posted jobs throughout the Laboratory. If an employee has not served the time required, they may only apply for Laboratory jobs with the documented approval of their Division Leade r.

Directive 206.2 - Employment with Triad requires a favorable decision by NNSA indicating employee is suitable under NNSA Supplemental Directive 206.2. Regular position : Term status Laboratory employees applying for regular-status positions are converted to regular status.
