Adelphi is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to provide primary and episodic healthcare services within a secured correctional healthcare setting in DuPage County Illinois. The NP will evaluate diagnose and manage acute and chronic health conditions under the supervision of the Medical Director.

Requirements

Current Illinois Nurse Practitioner license

Current CPR certification

Compliance with background check fingerprinting TB testing and orientation requirements

Experience providing direct patient care in a clinical or correctional environment

Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive patient assessments diagnoses and treatment planning.

Manage acute chronic and routine medical conditions in collaboration with the Medical Director.

Order and interpret diagnostic tests and prescribe medications as permitted by licensure.

Document all clinical encounters and maintain accurate medical records.

Provide patient education on health maintenance disease prevention and medication adherence.

Support continuity of care between medical nursing and behavioral health disciplines.

Participate in case reviews audits and quality improvement initiatives.

Adhere to facility safety infection control and confidentiality policies.

Any other duties as assigned.
