Job Duties
The functions include, but are not limited to the following :
Layout and Mounting of components to back panels and enclosuresRouting and building of wire cables neatly to meet wiring standardsRead and understand equipment wiring printsTravel to customer plants to install or repair equipment as needed. Possible long term, local customer site opportunitiesPoint to point wiring of relays, controls, PLC’s, I / O Modules, VFD’s and InstrumentationTroubleshoot panels as needed to eliminate wiring errorsMaintain red line drawing mark-ups of changes required during fabrication and communicate that to the appropriate partiesOperate Mechanical, Hydraulic and Electric Conduit Benders – size pipe ¾” to 4”Install cables and cable traysRough in, device, fixture, and panel connectionsUnderstand and follow internal and external customer health and safety requirementsPerform other duties as neededRequirements :
Fluent ability in reading a tape measure and using other basic toolsAbility to understand and work from schematics is a plusKnowledge of electrical theory and terminology is a plus but not requiredWorking within a robust industrial safety program environmentThorough understanding of electrical, motor control and lower voltage systemsUnderstand electrical circuits concepts & Theory (Single Phase, Three Phase, AC and DC Electricity, 240V high leg system, wire colors, and test equipment)Ability to push, pull and lift up to 50lbs on occasion, stand, bend, stoop, squat, reach and sit for long periods of timeNot be afraid of heights or confined spacesHave a valid driver’s license with a clean driving recordAbility to work occasional overtimeHigh School Graduate or equivalent. Technical school attendance a plusA high standard of quality and attention to detailAn understanding of general industrial facility maintenance needs
