Our client who is a global leader in automotive fastening and component systems is seeking a skilled Toolmaker to support the design, production, and maintenance of high-performance tooling for our advanced manufacturing operations.

Job Requirements Include :

High school graduate / GED with trade school or apprenticeship training.

Minimum of 3-5 years of manual precision metal components machining experience.

Must be able to read and understand blueprints and use micrometers and various measurement tools.

Must submit to and pass a drug screen.

Davis Staffing participates in the E-verify program.

Job Responsibilities Include :

Create, rework and repair various machine tooling within drawing and specification requirements

Operates taptite electrode grinder, and all other equipment related to EDM operations. Capable of performing all tasks associated to the manufacturing of taptite and round screw tooling (i.e. form wheels, taptite feed rollers, etc.).

Take raw stock material and manufacture complex tools and / or dies per prints, sketches, or rough drawings, as production demands.

Controls manufacturing of machine parts for fastener, roller, and machining, as well as all related tooling, cutter, and fixtures for lab testing. Train other toolmakers, as required.

Perform other tasks as needed in support of tooling, production, and new product development teams.

Job Details Include :

Temp to hire.

$20.00 per hour.

Employee will train on first shift (6 : 00AM - 4 : 00PM) and once training is completed they will switch to the second shift (4 : 00PM - 2 : 00AM), Monday to Friday (OT as needed).
