Production Manager
Manages and supervises the department and schedules production to meet customer or company requirements. Develops and manages the departmental budget and coordinates training.
Duties and Responsibilities :
Supervises and manages the department and personnel by supervising front line supervisors and communicating any procedural changes, monitoring payroll for line personnel, conducting employee evaluations, planning and organizing activities, coordinating and attending training seminars, maintaining labor relations, ensuring effective communication with other departments and planning for the implementation of new products and processes.
Schedules production by developing production schedules, adjusting schedules depending on customer requirements, scheduling production lines for maximum output, planning for the testing of new product, equipment and processes and communicating with other departments.
Manages the departmental budget by developing a budget for labor based on projected sales, including new equipment parts in the budget, monitoring labor, supplies, overtime and temporary labor accounts, reviewing payroll accounts, coordinating with accounting on costing new products and developing cost reductions within the department.
Performs other duties by developing and coordinating training procedures for personnel, maintaining accurate records, managing inventory and performing other duties as assigned.
Minimum Job Requirements :
Education / Certifications :
Bachelor's Degree is required, Engineering Degree is highly preferred and / or advanced engineering course work must be successfully completed.
First Aid Certification
Hazmat Certification
Lockout / Tagout License
Valid Driver's License
Experience :
Seven plus years experience is required, preferably in bakery operations.
Experience and / or certification in AIB will be strongly considered.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :
Advanced knowledge and understanding of HACCP, GMPs and AIB.
Demonstrated leadership and team building skills to effectively supervise professional and non-professional staff. (if applicable)
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Knowledge and understanding of all relevant federal and state laws, regulations, and operating guidelines.
Must be able to work extended hours and weekends as required.
Must be computer literate, able to interface with PCs, and understand all software packages specifically used by C.H. Guenther.
Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively.
Must have good analytical and reasoning skills.
Must be able to interpret and apply all technical literature necessary to support job requirements.
Must be knowledgeable of all regulatory policies as they apply to C.H. Guenther.
Supervisory Responsibilities :
Work requires supervising and monitoring work performance through the assistance of other supervisors or administrators, including making final decisions on hiring and disciplinary actions, evaluating program / work objectives and effectiveness, and realigning work and staffing assignments, as needed.
Working Conditions and Physical Effort :
Work involves daily exposure to unusual elements, such as dirt, dust, fumes, extreme temperatures, humidity, darkness, and / or noise.
Work environment involves daily exposure to physical risks, such as working around mechanical, chemical, and electrical hazards.
Position requires the ability to stand; sit at a desk; walking around office and plant; lifting and carrying packages up to 50 pounds; utilizing fine dexterity; and reaching, kneeling, crawling and twisting to inspect equipment. Also requires the ability to see; hear; and communicate with associates as well as others by utilizing professional etiquette.
Personal protective equipment, as defined by C.H. Guenther and Son, will be provided.
Position will be exposed to different levels of stress and responsibilities.

Team Leader III Production Manager must demonstrate ability to be responsible for the facility in the absence of the Director of Operations in all areas in the event this should occur.
Implement cost savings and productivity improvements as well as manage the continuous improvement process.
The salary range for this role is : $86,855.00 - $159,414.00
