We are seeking a skilled Pipefitter to join our team at a steel fabrication facility. The role involves executing fitting duties with precision and expertise in structural steel fitting and flux core welding. Responsibilities include performing fitting duties at a steel fabrication facility, engaging in structural steel fitting and pipefitting tasks, and executing flux core and tack welding operations. Accurately read and interpret tape measurements to the 1 / 16th of an inch and lift and handle items weighing up to 50lbs. Essential skills include 1-2 years of experience in structural steel fitting and pipefitting, proficiency in flux core welding and tack welding, and the ability to read a tape measure to the 1 / 16th of an inch. Experience with fabrication, blueprint reading, and welding techniques such as MIG and TIG is also required. Familiarity with using hand tools and grinding equipment, knowledge of stainless steel, carbon steel, and aluminum welding, and understanding of AWS standards and mechanical construction are additional qualifications.

Work shifts are Monday to Thursday from 6am to 4 : 30pm, and Friday from 5am to 1pm, with occasional Saturday shifts from 5am to 1pm. The environment is fast-paced, requiring attention to detail and a commitment to safety. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Columbia, SC.
