Diodes Incorporated is seeking a full-time Manufacturing Equipment Engineer to join our manufacturing team.
Responsibilities
- Working hours : 40-hour work week, Monday through Friday. OT is expected to keep the assigned area running smoothly.
- Work is performed in a clean room environment with required PPE (smock, hood, booties, latex gloves, safety glasses); airline respirator may be required and occasional PPE includes aprons, gauntlets, and full-face masks.
- Requires lifting up to 50 lbs.
- May involve working with hazardous gases, chemicals, and high voltages.
- Troubleshoot and repair electromechanical systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair electro-pneumatic systems.
- Directs one's own work at a high level and serves as a subject matter expert for the assigned area; leads small teams as needed.
- Follows procedures and updates them as needed.
- Discusses repair and maintenance requirements with peers and balances work with available talent.
- Reviews tool histories for area tools, identifies common themes, proposes improvements or repairs, and executes on them.
- Identifies abnormal tool conditions and executes corrective actions.
- Has clear technical knowledge of the equipment and sub-systems within the assigned area; understands recipes and the desired outcomes.
- Understands and uses SPC charts to identify failure modes.
- Responsible for completing all scheduled and unscheduled preventive maintenance and repair procedures in a timely, accurate, and safe manner within the assigned area.
- Maintains a safety-minded approach : follows all safety documentation, specs and protocol, including LOTO; identifies safety concerns and regulatory violations to eliminate them.
- May be cross-trained in other areas as needed.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Strong electrical / mechanical semiconductor knowledge.Ability to perform He-Leak checks of gas and vacuum systems.Comfort handling chemicals, including acids, bases, and solvents.Experience troubleshooting electrical issues.Experience troubleshooting vacuum systems.Ability to read electrical schematics.Ability to use digital multimeters and voltage supplies.Ability to work well in a collaborative environment, and as part of a team.Flexibility to work outside of normal schedule, cross train, and multi-task as needed.A BS in Engineering or relevant technical discipline, or Military Equivalent.About Diodes Incorporated
