LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Archbold Living Cairo

Position Description

The LPN works under and functions within the LPN Scope of Practice. The LPN is responsible for providing direct resident care. This includes age appropriate interventions that meet physical, emotional, developmental, psychosocial and educational needs. The LPN is responsible for coordination and delivery of high-quality care.

Responsibilities and Purpose

  • Direct resident care
  • Assess and assist with managing patient’s total needs following physician orders and utilization of nursing process
  • Performs routine nursing procedures to meet the need of the resident
  • Coordinates care and services with all team members
  • Responsible for accurate completion of required documentation within established timeframe.
  • Demonstrates knowledge and appropriate application of regulatory guidelines
  • Responsible for attending continuing education and in-services as directed and needed
  • Responsible for any other responsibilities assigned per facility along with above stated

Qualifications / Experience :

  • Graduate of a school of Practical Nursing.
  • Licensed in the State of Georgia as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
  • Current certification in Basic Life Support.
  • Entry level, experience preferred and long-term care experience a plus.
  • Physical Demands :

    Must be in good physical and mental health.

    Supervises :

    Care of a group of residents and nursing personnel assigned to them.

    Supervised By :

    Director of Nursing, Assistant Director of Nursing, Charge Nurse
