The RN supervises Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees, promoting a patient and employee safety focus in accordance with the organization's core values. Responsibilities Conduct nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission and create individualized care plans. Identify teaching needs related to patient diagnoses through collaboration with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams. Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and in a timely manner. Participate in the patient rehabilitation program, prioritizing education for patients and their families. Initiate discharge planning from the day of admission and provide necessary patient education. Maintain communication regarding changes in patient status among care providers to ensure continuity of care. Supervise and provide guidance to ancillary nursing personnel, fostering an effective care delivery environment. Ensure both personal and environmental safety according to nursing policies and procedures. Contribute positively to unit dynamics, facilitating a supportive atmosphere for staff and patients. Assume charge responsibility as needed after orientation. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure BLS Certification Required Prior to First Shift ACLS Required Prior to First Shift (CIRH ONLY) Minimum Two (2) Years Bedside Clinical Experience Schedule This position requires a night shift schedule consisting of 3x12.0 hours per week.
