Position Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic Human Resources (HR) Generalist to join our team and provide day to day support as a valued contributor to our HR team. Reporting to the local HR Manager, this onsite role will offer you the opportunity to work on the employee facing operational side of HR in a technical and high consequence manufacturing environment. As a HR Generalist, you will play a pivotal role in advocating for our workforce and aligning HR strategies with our business objectives. You will work closely with management and employees across all levels, fostering a culture of engagement, development, and performance. Your Day To Day As An HR Generalist :
Required Qualifications :
A minimum of a bachelor's degree in human resources, business, or a closely related field is required. Must possess a minimum of one (1) year of related experience in human resources. Prior experience may include HR internships or work as a HR coordinator where similar duties were performed. Understanding of HR policies, procedures, and best practices, with the demonstrated ability to adapt to the unique culture of a high consequence manufacturing organization. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of engaging and influencing employees and leaders of varied backgrounds and generations. Analytical mindset with experience in leveraging data to inform decision-making. Demonstrated passion for employee engagement, organizational development, and continuously improving the workplace. Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization and to work collaboratively with cross functional teams. Demonstrated time management skills with the ability to effectively balance multiple competing priorities. Demonstrated intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite's Outlook, PowerPoint and Word. With an advanced proficiency level in Excel to produce required business reporting. This position supports a safety and quality driven, 24-7 manufacturing operation and requires the ability and availability to work the occasional adjusted schedule. Variations to normal work hours may include but are not limited to, support of early morning meetings, engagement with the shop floor during 2nd shift evening operations, scheduled plant initiatives, unplanned after-hours investigations and pre-planned weekend employee events. Must be a U.S. citizen. Ability to report to work at an assigned office location. This position does not include a remote work option.
Preferred Qualifications :
Operational Excellence or Continuous Improvement training. Certification as a Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt or greater.
