Category Sourcing Analyst
The Category Sourcing Analyst is responsible for providing data analytics, system support, and strategy development support to the Category Sourcing Management team. The Category Sourcing Analyst will perform complex data analysis to identify supplier spend segmentation, cost opportunities, and strategic areas for improvement. This role may support the following categories : Mechanical, Capital Improvement Projects, SG&A, IT, MRO, Facilities Maintenance, Data Center Infrastructure Fit-outs, and Data Connectivity. In addition, the Category Sourcing Analyst is responsible for updating dashboards intended for communicating current program / contract updates to line of businesses and Senior Management. The Category Sourcing Analyst will collaborate with internal user departments to facilitate, optimize, and execute the purchase and corporate governance of these spend categories within the organization.
Responsibilities include :
- Leading categories spend segmentation and reporting through QTS systems and subsequent dashboard creation for decision making.
- Ensuring end to end category management functions are followed through documented standard work, making improvement to processes where appropriate.
- Building and deploying RFPs in QTS System support of assigned category functions.
- Ensuring data accuracy of completed supplier agreements and loading completed contracts into QTS contract repository.
- Supporting CSMs on creation of quarterly business review documents for supplier meetings.
- Supporting in the development and execution of sourcing strategies for high spend, mission critical categories.
- Creating Total Cost of Ownership models used to support sourcing decisions.
- Supporting implementation activities for categories with critical impacts to business and internal customers.
- Conducting thorough spend analysis, developing methodology and metrics tools to track progress.
- Identifying and implementing system solutions and best practices that optimizes work practices.
- Building relationships with key stakeholders to gather category requirements from departments and subject matter experts.
- Acting as primary point of support on analytics for the Category Sourcing Director.
Basic qualifications include :
Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Supply-Chain, or Engineering or related field or equivalent professional experience.Two or more years of relevant experience in Sourcing / Procurement / Supply-Chain.Experience in system analytics and process improvements.Experience in supporting change initiatives involving significant impacts to organization.Experience running system reports and processing substantial amounts of data to an actionable state.Preferred qualifications include :
MBA or master's degree in supply chain.Experience in the Data Center / Construction industry.Procurement certification (e.g. ISM CPSM).Knowledge, skills, and abilities include :
