Ford Global Data Insights and Analytics is looking for a Cloud Data Architect, an exciting opportunity on the team supporting some of Ford's most visible initiatives. The role of the Cloud Data Architect is a critical enabler in helping us deliver solutions to the enterprise that take advantage of Fords vast and varied data landscape. This role will take on the most difficult data challenges in the industry and help us realize a modern enterprise data platform for one of the worlds most iconic companies. The Cloud Data Architect will help drive our strategy for organizing our enterprise data and will design novel solutions to turn the information in our enterprise systems into insights for leaders and decision-makers.

Responsibilities

• Refine and manage a data architecture roadmap in partnership with the Data Product Management Team.
• Leverage GCP services like Cloud Pub / Sub, Dataflow, and BigQuery to build reliable and efficient data pipelines.
• Own the conceptual model for a data domain inside the central data platform. Develop and maintain data schemas and models for products within that framework. Ensure data integrity, consistency, and quality across multiple data assets.
• Learn, know, and understand Fords enterprise data assets
• Think creatively about new ways to use the data in our environments to progress the goals of our business.
• Perform performance tuning and optimization : identify bottlenecks and optimize the performance of data pipelines to meet business requirements.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and best practices in streaming data : continuously learn and adopt new technologies and approaches to keep our data architecture at the forefront of the industry.

This role is remote but if you are within 50 miles of Dearborn, MI or Palo Alto, CA, you will be required to be on-site 4 days / week.
