$120 to $140 per hour

About The Position

We are currently seeking an experienced Physician Assistant (PA) with a background in neurosurgery to provide night shift coverage for an established hospital-based neurosurgery program.

Job Details :

Position : Physician Assistant – Neurosurgery (Locum)

Shifts : 12-hour night shifts (6 : 00 PM – 6 : 00 AM)

Schedule : Flexible; up to 20 shifts per month

Call Requirement : Yes – in-house call; provider must be onsite for emergent cases

Setting : 100% inpatient hospital-based

Caseload :

Average surgeries per day : 3

Daily patient volume : 10–25 (includes 3–5 admissions and ~3 ICU patients)

Patient Mix : Adult : 98%

Pediatric : 2%

Trauma : 90%

Preferred Qualifications & Skills :

PA first assist experience highly preferred

Experience in the following areas is ideal :

General neurosurgery (adult & trauma)

Cerebrovascular (open, endovascular, aneurysm clipping)

Carotid or vertebral artery surgery

Spinal surgery with / without instrumentation

Placement of ICP monitors

Requirements :

Board Certification – Required

Active Colorado license or Compact license – Required

EMR Experience with EPIC preferred

Willingness to supervise when needed
