As a Radiology Physician specializing in Breast Imaging, I work at a hospital-based Breast Center, managing a variety of imaging services including mammography and ultrasound. My responsibilities include performing and interpreting diagnostic imaging, supporting a team of ultrasound and mammography technologists, and assisting in breast biopsies. • Hospital-based Breast Center
• 8 am - 5 pm schedule, Monday to Friday
• Level 4 trauma designation
• No ER volume, as this is a Breast Imager position
• Powerscribe dictation into EPIC, EPIC Mammography reporting
• 1 mammography room and 2 ultrasound rooms at Silverton; 1 mammography room and 1 ultrasound room at the Imaging Center (only screening exams performed at this facility)
• 250 radiologists in the Seattle-based practice, with the Breast Imager serving as the on-site physician
• Support staff includes 2 daytime ultrasound techs, 1 mammography tech, and 1 breast navigator
• Breast navigator assists in stereotactic and ultrasound-guided breast biopsies and helps schedule follow-up care for mammography patients
• Teleradiology is not an option for this position- is used for diagnostic radiology exams, but not for breast imaging
• Adult patient demographic.
