Job Description

Summary :

We are seeking a qualified Mammography Technologist to join the Radiology team at Providence Health and Services - LCMT MAMMO. The ideal candidate will be skilled in performing diagnostic and screening mammography procedures, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and accuracy of imaging results.

Responsibilities :

Perform high-quality mammography exams, including 3-D mammography, screening, diagnostic mammograms, needle localizations, fine needle aspirations, stereotactic biopsies.

Ensure patient comfort and safety during procedures, following isolation precautions when necessary.

Prepare and maintain mammography equipment, ensuring proper function and cleanliness.

Accurately document procedures in the charting system.

Work collaboratively with radiologists and other healthcare professionals.

Follow all applicable policies and regulations regarding patient care and safety.

Maintain compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements.

Job Requirements

Key Requirements :

Ability to perform all listed procedures independently.

Proficient in using electronic charting systems.

Must be flexible, reliable, and able to work independently.

Professional communication and patient interaction skills.

Qualifications

Education :

Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program with advanced certification in Mammography.

Experience :

Minimum of 1 year Mammography Tech experience required.

Previous charge experience not required.

Travel experience not required but preferred.

License :

ARRT (M) certification preferred.

BLS certification required.
