About the Indiana Criminal Justice Institute (ICJI):
The Indiana Criminal Justice Institute (ICJI) is the State planning agency for criminal justice, juvenile justice, traffic safety, and victim services. The institute develops long-range strategies for the effective administration of Indiana's criminal and juvenile justice systems and administers state and federal funds to carry out these strategies.
Further, ICJI is responsible for coordinating and collaborating with local, state, and federal entities to identify, assess, plan, resource, and evaluate new and emerging issues facing the criminal justice and public safety spectrum.
By authority of Indiana Code 9-27-2, The Indiana State Highway Safety Office (SHSO) established and housed the Traffic Safety Division (TSD) of the Indiana Criminal Justice Institute (ICJI). The TSD manages behavioral traffic safety funding provided by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) through projects with law enforcement agencies and other organizations throughout Indiana.
Role Overview:
As the Grant Coordinator, you will be responsible for performing high-level grant development, coordination, and administration work. In this position, you will coordinate, review, evaluate, and report grants at various stages to determine the appropriateness of grants or compliance with requirements and standards.
Salary Statement:
The salary for this position traditionally starts at $42, but may be commensurate with education or work experience.

This position is exempt from overtime compensation for additional work hours which may be required to complete essential functions or other assigned work. Exempt employees may work more than 75 hours in a pay period without additional compensation and must report a minimum of 75 hours per pay period of work hours and/or paid leave taken to receive their base biweekly salary.
What You'll Need for Success:
Individuals in this role should minimally be able to articulate or demonstrate the following:
A degree is not required. However, at least three (3) years of work experience in grant programs, program planning, public administration, and related fields applying the outlined knowledge, skills, and abilities in a similar role may be considered.
Individuals should have the ability to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
