Combat System Availability Planning Team Lead
You will serve as the Availability Planning Team Lead to ensure that Combat System (CS) improvements and upgrades are planned and ready for installation in combatants during planned availabilities for maximum combat system effectiveness.
You will ensure the accuracy of technical and logistics information for alterations are planned for each availability are matured and authorized for installation during modernization availabilities.
You will provide technical and logistics service and guidance to personnel to ensure Ship Change Documents (SCD), Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) certs, Ship Installation Drawings (SID), Baseline requirements and other required maturity elements.
You will monitor alterations planned to systems / equipment within a weapon platform, ensuring the timely and effective planning to support Navy Modernization Process (NMP) milestones for affected ship combat systems and warfare elements.
You will assist the Branch Manager in managing positions and employee assignments, leading training and development initiatives, and facilitating communications between management and employees.
You will provide input for performance evaluations, promoting workplace safety, ensuring customer satisfaction, managing resource budgets, and overseeing branch compliance requirements.
Must be a US Citizen.
Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and / or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty.
This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS-11 / 12 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following : Planning and coordinating technical and logistical services pertaining to ship combat systems in support of the modernization and installation of projects.
This job does not have an education qualification requirement.
This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The NT-05 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-13 and GS-14.
