Sales Associate

Zofia's Dress Shop is seeking a passionate, style-savvy, and customer-focused Sales Associate to join our team. We specialize in elegant dresses for Quinceaeras, Sweet 16s, Proms, Debuts, and other special occasions. The ideal candidate loves fashion, enjoys working with people, and thrives in a boutique setting where helping each client feel beautiful and confident is the top priority.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Greet every guest with warmth and professionalism, creating a welcoming experience
  • Assist clients in selecting dresses based on their event, style preferences, body type, and budget
  • Provide expert product knowledge on fabrics, fits, styles, accessories, and current trends
  • Maintain detailed knowledge of our dress collections, designers, and alterations process
  • Help customers with try-ons, fittings, and styling suggestions in a respectful and uplifting manner
  • Process sales transactions and appointments accurately using the POS system
  • Keep fitting rooms clean, organized, and ready for new guests
  • Handle returns, exchanges, and inquiries in a friendly, solution-focused manner
  • Assist in steaming, tagging, restocking, and displaying merchandise to boutique standards
  • Support marketing efforts by taking photos (with permission) and promoting our social media platforms
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing boutique

Qualifications :

  • Previous retail, boutique, or customer service experience preferred
  • Friendly, confident, and professional demeanor with excellent communication skills
  • Passion for fashion, styling, and special occasion wear
  • Bilingual (English / Spanish) strongly preferred but not required
  • Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be comfortable working weekends and peak seasons (Prom, Quinceaera, Holidays)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Basic Point of Sale and computer skills

    • Physical Duties :

  • Be able to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs (dress boxes, mannequins, shipments)
  • Must be able to crouch, bend, and reach to assist with dress fittings and organization
  • Must be comfortable using step ladders to retrieve or stock inventory
  • Able to move dresses and racks safely throughout the boutique
  • Able to stand for long periods of time during shifts
