Job description

Due to our growth, we are looking to add qualified candidates to our Accounting team. In the Automotive Assistant Accounting Manager role, you will assist the Accounting Manager in leading a team of accounting specialists within the office environment. The role is hands-on and consists of assisting the Accounting Manager with all job duties in the office.

This is a Monday through Friday position working daylight hours.

We are looking for someone who has automotive accounting experience with the willingness to learn and grow within the Accounting team.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES may include the following :

  • Post accounting entries for vehicle sales, service and parts
  • Prepare vehicle floor plan payments, bank reconciliations, intercompany billing
  • Process vehicle title work
  • Analyze and reconcile general ledger accounts and schedules
  • Ensure compliance with all government regulations
  • Provide additional assistance to the accounting manager

Month End Reporting

  • Monthly Financial Statement
  • Monthly and Quarterly sales and use taxes
  • Review Incentive and Manufacturer Receivables
  • Perform other duties as assigned

    • QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Being detail oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with coworkers, customers, & vendors
  • Knowledge of MS Office products and the ability to learn dealership-specific software
  • Accounting experience is required
  • Previous automotive accounting experience is preferred
  • Reynolds and Reynolds experience is a plus
